Every parent wants their child to grow healthy, physically as well as mentally. However, a kid’s growth is influenced and affected by numerous factors. Here are the essential factors that play a key role in healthy child growth and development.

1. Balanced Diet

A balanced diet is necessary for kids to grow strong and healthy. Include food sources and products in your kid’s diet that are rich in calcium, iron, vitamins, minerals, proteins, and fiber. Thus whole wheat flour, brown rice, whole grain pasta, fresh vegetables and seasonal fruits, eggs, and soya beans should be on your grocery list for your kids.

Also, include food rich in zinc such as pumpkin, peanuts, and squash seeds.

2. Physical Activity

Kids during their growing years need to be more active and engage in physical activities. Make sure your kid is spending enough time playing outdoor games. Kids grasp their surroundings quickly. Be their role model, let them watch you exercise, be it working out at home, playing football or dancing and they will join you soon.

Physical activity like running, biking, playing sports are necessary to develop motor skills in younger ones and also help in physical development in children. Encourage your kids to go out and play or take part in school sports. Doing this will nurture a habit or even interest in kids that will help them stay fit later in life.

3. Quality Sleep

Now, many parents stress over kids getting enough hours of sleep. But getting quality sleep is what matters the most. Maximum growth hormones in kids stimulate while they are asleep. Moreover, proper sleep calms the mind and increases efficiency throughout the day. Make sure your kid is getting enough and quality sleep. Preventing screen time before sleep and setting a bedtime ritual will relax their body and calm their mind, and your young ones will doze off without fussing.

4. Positive Environment

Healthy communication at home and positive neighborhood influence kid’s social development. Kids are sharper and instantly pick on things happening around them during their early ages.

Maintain a happy, stress-free environment at home. Make it a rule of having at least one meal together with the whole family every day. Encourage your kids to eat with family at the dining table. This will help develop strong communication and social skills in them.

5. Limit Screen Time

Do not let your kids turn into a mobile junkie. Watching TV or playing videos for hours straight is not only harmful to their eyesight but make children fussy and irritating. Limit their screen time and encourage them to play indoor as well as outdoor games instead of just spending time playing video games.

Following these tips will not only ensure your child’s healthy growth but nurture good habits and positivity that will stay with them for the rest of their lives.
